Parents Responsibilities
What to bring to childcare for your child
Infants -formula, diapers, wipes, plastic bottles( at least 4-6 daily pre-filled with water), baby food, infant snacks, bibs, pacifier, diaper ointment, crib sheet, blanket, extra clothes and diaper bag. Toddlers- Book bag with diapers, wipes, diaper ointment, blanket, crib sheet for sleeping mat, extra clothes . When potty training velcro tab pulls ups( no Pampers Easy Ups) underwear, clothes. Preschool/Pre-K – Book Bag, extra clothes, blanket for rest time.
Parents Responsibilities
At New Directions Childcare Center, we believe that a child’s growth and success come from a strong partnership between parents and caregivers. To help us create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment, we ask parents to take an active role in the following ways:
Communication and Partnership
Keep open, respectful communication with teachers and staff.
Inform the center of any changes at home that may affect your child’s behavior or well-being.
Attend parent-teacher meetings, orientations, and family events whenever possible.
Attendance and Punctuality
Bring your child on time and pick them up promptly at dismissal.
Notify the center if your child will be absent or late.
Health and Safety
Ensure your child comes to school healthy, well-rested, and ready to learn.
Keep your child home when sick and inform the staff of any contagious illness.
Update emergency contact and medical information regularly.
Preparedness
Send your child with all required supplies, extra clothes, and comfort items (if allowed).
Label your child’s belongings clearly.
Positive Support at Home
Encourage independence, kindness, and good manners at home.
Reinforce lessons and values taught at the center.
Celebrate your child’s progress and effort — every small step counts!
Respect for the Community
Support the center’s policies, rules, and staff decisions.
Model respect and cooperation for your child by engaging courteously with all staff and other parents.
